Emmett “Avery” Woods-Gresham, also known by his stage name “Slimm Ave” was born and raised in Columbia, MD. He founded Yea Shawty in 2022. Starting as a phrase to hype up his friends, Yea Shawty evolved into a brand that represents 'spreading positivity'.

“Now people yell ‘YEA SHAWTY’ when they see me. I feel like it’s my catch phrase, so I decided to make a brand out of it.”
